Creating and using a Cloud Playlist

A Playlist in Poppulo Cloud Library allows you to quickly and easily plan, schedule, and organize you content for your signs from the web interface.

  1. Log in to FWI Cloud and select the Library module.
  2. Choose the folder where you want the Playlist to live.
  3. On the far right of the black bar at the top, choose New –> Playlist

  4. A new playlist will be created.
  5. Rename the playlist by clicking on the title “New Playlist” in the top left.
  6. Click on “Add Content” to add content to your playlist.

  7. A new popup will appear. Using the folder navigation on the left, locate the folder where your media files are located.
    • If your files are already uploaded to your Library, select them and click Done.
    • If your files are not already uploaded, click on the pink Upload button to upload them to your Library.
      • Once uploaded, select all files and click Done.
  8. Your files will appear in the playlist.
    • Default duration: 30 seconds
    • Default availability: Always
  9. At this point, your Playlist is ready to go.

Publish Content:

  1. If your playlist is brand new, you’ll want to Publish any changes you made (or set it to Auto-Publish).
    1. To publish, click the orange “Publish” button in the top-right corner.
    2. To set to Auto-Publish, expand the sidebar and toggle on the Auto-Publish Playlist toggle.
      1. When this is on, the playlist will automatically publish any changes.

Optional Editing:

Reorganize content:

  1. Hover your mouse over the left side of the row you want to move.
    1. Your cursor will change to a hand icon.
  2. Drag the row to its proper location.

Adjust Duration and Availability

  1. Click on the row you want to edit.
  2. Edit the Duration
    1. Format: hh:mm:ss (ex: 00:00:30 = 30 seconds)
  3. Edit the availablity (optional)
    1. By default, the item is set to “Always available” (it will be available to play all day, every day with no restrictions)
    2. Click on Add Availability

      1. Start: This is the Start date/time for this item
      2. End: This is the End date/time for this item
      3. No End date toggle: Removes the End option and leave the content available forever
      4. Set a Weekly Schedule: Optionally choose specific days of the week for this item to appear.
    3. NOTE: You can set multiple availability schedules.

 

Connect Playlist to Content Experience Builder
